Natural Antioxidants!

You can take all the vitamins and supplements you want.  There are thousands of them available in every store known to man. Some work, some do not.  Most are not tested and therefore you never really know what it is you're putting in your body.  Instead, try to find natural ways of nourishing your body instead.

For a higher level of antioxidants and a path to better health, eat more of these foods daily:
Apples
Blackberries
Cherries
Blueberries
Cranberries
Prunes
Purple Grapes
Raisins
Raspberries
Strawberries
Tomatoes
Broccoli
Bok Choy
Cabbage
Carrots
Garlic
Kale
Spinach
Squash
Sweet Potatoes

Oh, and in case you didn't know, blueberries quite possibly may reverse the aging process. They help maintain balance and lack of coordination, to name a few. What's not to love about that? Studies are proving these little berries are chock full of antioxidants, more than any other fruit or vegetable, actually. Other studies show that women who eat more of this fruit suffer from less 'age related' disorders than those who eat a less antioxidant rich diet. So, have a smoothie and fill it with blueberries!!!

Let's All Cheer on the Fiber Bus!

We all love fiber. Right? Right.  If you don't, hop on the fiber bus because it's some of the best stuff out there!

The average person needs 30 grams, yes, 30 grams of fiber every day.  If you're over 50, you need less.  Fifty and up, the average is 20-25 because older people tend to eat less.

So instead of going for the bag of chips when you're feeling hungry, grab a piece of whole grain bread and spread a little natural peanut butter or better yet, almond butter on it and enjoy the fiber.  Not only will you improve your digestive tract but you'll feel full longer and eat less later.

Cheers to good health!
